2½ Inch Pot

These orchids are growing in 2-1/2" square pots. They are well-established orchids, in-between the stage of seedlings and plants mature enough to bloom.

Some of the cattleya varieties that are in the 2½" pots are considered "mini's" and reach maturity in this pot; thus they are actually mature enough to bloom. If you check the pollination date on the information sheet for each code number it can give you some idea of the maturity of each variety.

We hope to offer a greater number of varieties in this size pot in the future. This size orchid is easier to bring along than the seedling size and so even begining orchid growers can attempt to grow this size with a fair amount of success.
