What
does that mean? It means the orchids in our nursery are grown under
regulated conditions put forth by the Department of Agriculture. This
includes, but is not limited to standardized benches that meet minimum
height requirements for sanitary purposes, as well as orchids being
regularly inspected by Department of Agriculture inspectors. Plants
are inspected for injurious plant pests and diseases, and root samples
are also taken and analyzed to ensure there are no burrowing nematodes.
We are certified
to ship to all states, and each box is stamped with our certificate.
Each stamp has the following imprint:

HAWAII DEPARTMENT
OF AGRICULTURE
PLANT QUARANTINE BRANCH
NEMATODE

This is
to certify that the plant materials in this shipment meet
California's burrowing and reniform nematode quarantine requirements
and originated from a nursery participating under the terms
of California's Master Permit for the Shipment of Nursery
Stock from Hawaii to California, Permit No. QC 650.

Why is the State
of California mentioned in the stamp?
Presently, the
State of California has the most stringent requirements for plants,
so our stamp satisfies requirements for all other States.
